Dr Daniels and Dr Elias-Jones are both medically qualified and are Registered with the CQC and GMC, with Full Indemnity Insurance. They run the NHS East Devon Ear, Nose and Throat community clinics and both work regularly in the ENT department of the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. Between them they have nearly 40 years of experience working in the NHS and over 20 years experience of working in ENT, and treated over 10,000 patients for microsuction ear wax removal.
Dr Daniels has been a GP in East Devon since 2001 and was responsible for setting up the NHS community Ear, Nose and Throat Clinics in 2007. These clinics are now staffed by Dr. Daniels and Dr Elias-Jones. They see NHS patients with a range of ENT problems, and in addition, Dr Daniels works regular shifts in the ENT department at Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.
He is also a senior lecturer at the University of Exeter and as well as working as an expedition doctor, he regularly visits Rwanda where he is involved in a number of projects to develop health services there.
Dr Elias-Jones is currently a GP partner at Townsend House medical centre, but prior to training in General practice, he was previously an Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) doctor. He first trained on performing Microsuction while working in the ENT department in Derriford Hospital in Plymouth in 2009. He has since gone on to work as a senior house officer in ENT for 4 years, including working as a surgical trainee at the Royal Cornwall hospital in Truro and as a Trust Grade Doctor in ENT at the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital. While he was a surgical trainee, he passed his Membership exams for the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in 2013 and also completed his Diploma in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery (DOHNS) in the same year. Since completing his GP training, he has continued a role as a GP with special interest in ENT where he has regular ENT clinics including performing Microsuction.
Cleaning of your ears under direct vision, using a Zeiss operating microscope. We charge a flat fee, for both ears, and if we can't clean your ears at the first visit and you need to come back, we will only charge once.
We are providing this service at cost price with no profit.
We are unable to provide private microsuction for patients who are registered at Townsend House Medical Practice due to conflict of interest regulation.
